Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. She was born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. She is professionally referred to as Aurora. The name of her can be also stylized in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the label Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from bloggers as well as the press. The singer has recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by the band Oasis to promote a Christmas ad by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding a grand piano that was in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see the possibilities it offered. As a result, she began to write songs of her own. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork for being among her inspirations. Her mother had informed her that her music could not only help her gain fame, and also inspire others to see their importance to the world and appreciate what can be done with the songs and her music, she was inspired to start playing in front of the public. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument at the age of six, and she started making music at the age of nine. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known to her family until she was fourteen. Aurora had no idea of being a famous singer. As she says, she enjoys writing songs. According to her, the music she composes is how she feels about any thing.
